About Us
Our History
Our mission is to connect artists from around the world to share & exchange cultures through music and the arts.

We are dedicated to developing new artists and supporting established artists on grassroots levels as well as in the mainstream.

Diversity is our aim.  We welcome musicians, poets, writers, painters, filmmakers, photographers and events.

Located in the San Francisco Bay area, RHP is surrounded by an eclectic community of artists, cultural events and social organizations.  Our goal is to provide a vehicle to carry their voices to the world at large like drumbeats out to the global village and to explore the passions of other cultures as conveyed through their art.

Working Locally & Beyond...
Red Hot promotes all artists and events via the RHP website.

RHP provides support to musicians by acting as liaison with record companies, arranging CD recordings and releases, coordinating interviews/reviews with the media, retail marketing and lending tour support.

RHP fills the gap between poets, writers, painters, photographers and publishers, galleries and the public with exposure through readings and exhibits, providing the one-on-one attention each artist needs.

RHP supports independent filmmakers in promoting their films on the website, producing print media and acting as liaison with distributors.

RED HOT President and owner, Nancy Lewis, began her career with The Music People, Inc., a major one-stop supplier and sub-distributor for all the major and independent record companies. From 1986 to 1990, as head of marketing and promotion, Ms. Lewis was a media buyer for radio and print, organizer for promotional events, in-store appearances and record release parties promoting major and independent recording artists. She was awarded Platinum and Gold records to commemorate her contribution to the sales of one million and half million units for such artists as: Tina Turner, Grateful Dead (gold & platinum), Janet Jackson, Bobby Brown, MC Hammer (including #1 Billboard), Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, Sinead O'Connor, Billy Idol, Paula Abdul, Freddie Jackson, Fine Young Cannibals and Maxi Priest (#1 Billboard).

Lewis created RED HOT PROMOTIONS to provide independent marketing and promotion for artists and record labels, including Cajun Rocker, Zachary Richard (A&M Records), and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Hank Ballard (The Twist). RED HOT Managed the R&B group, San Francisco Originals (SFO). They recorded and released the CD Good To Go, working with Grammy Award Winning Producer, Narada Michael Walden, (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Tevin Campbell), and London based Producer, Carmelo Lugeri (Bill Wyman, Julian Lennon, Kiki Dee). The group performed with artists such as The Doobie Brothers, Greg Allman and Princess Stephanie of Monaco.

RED HOT also began working with Native American Activist/Artist, Dennis Banks, collaborating with Producer/Drummer Narada Michael Walden once again for the recording Still Strong.  Traveling to London, with a visit to Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios, Red Hot arranged for a track from Still Strong to be included on Real World Records/GEO Magazines Anniversary Compilation CD.

Lewis continued to work with Producer Carmelo Lugeri while in London, meeting several European artists whom she later introduced in San Francisco. Lewis was then contacted by The Marketing Union of Belgrade [Yugoslavia] to coordinate the benefit concert Performance for Peace which was also taped as part of a documentary film. Among the participating artists: The Grateful Dead's Bob Weir, Zakiya Hooker (daughter of John Lee Hooker), Richard Berry (of Louie Louie fame), Narada Michael Walden, Crowded House and members of the San Francisco Giants.

Teaming up with OPM Records, Lewis released and marketed recordings with San Francisco's Motown/R&B band, Pride & Joy, and Denver Blues artist, Sammy Mayfield. Putting RED HOT on the back burner, so to speak, Lewis pursued her interest in civil rights law for a few years and has now resumed her greatest passion - the arts.
Currently working with artists such as Dennis Banks, Japanese drummer Okura, Composer/Conductor/Beat Generation Author David Amram,  Pride & Joy, & more! RED HOT has several artists, events and projects on the way - Stay tuned!
